'23-'24 International Academic Competitions!
Students, it's NOT too late to participate in the '23-24 season of International Academic Competitions! Take the free online exam in one or all of the following areas: geography, history, and science. When you qualify, you can then compete at a regional tournament, with buzzers, right here at Somerset Boca on 1/28/24.
First, review the study materials found here. Check out the past exams and study guides to get an idea how the test will look.
When you feel you are ready, register here. After you click submit, you will get a student ID. Write it down! You are now ready to take the exam!
Mrs. Garcia is Awarded Grant to Install Herb Garden
The Herb Society of America awarded our Teacher of Gifted, Mrs. Garcia, the Samull Grant to start an herb garden at the school. Learning objectives included applying practical knowledge in the form of gardening skills, learning how herbs flavor food healthfully, and researching traditional culinary uses of herbs, including globally diverse tea-drinking customs, richly steeped in culture and history.
